There’s a million ways to make your own granola at home. This is one of our go-to favorites that you should keep in your baking routine! Sprinkle it on top of yogurt and parfaits, toss a handful of it in a bag for an on-the-go snack, enjoy it with milk… it’s delicious any way. Plus, it’s so simple, you’ll be asking yourself why you didn’t make it sooner.
Ingredients
- 3 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 cup real maple syrup
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Directions
- Preheat oven to 300° F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Whisk the olive oil and maple syrup together. Add spices and whisk again. Add oats and chopped nuts and stir to combine.
- Spread evenly on prepared baking sheet. Bake for 25 minutes, stirring halfway through.
Store leftovers in a mason jar at room temperature for up to a week.
*Note: You can also use sprouted oats- just increase baking time by about 10 minutes and add 1/4 cup more olive oil.
